Welcome to the Feedback Center

The Feedback Center is the place to learn more about feedback: What feedback is, why it's a critical component of trading on Wagglepop and how to effectively manage feedback.

 

Why is feedback so important?
Feedback builds trust.  
Actual member-to-member comments help thousands of other users build trust in other members. Without trust, there couldn't be a single transaction on Wagglepop. Think of trust as the foundation, and feedback as the house that is built on it.
Feedback is direct.
Feedback ratings and comments are direct from other members based on a specific transaction. Unlike most retail experiences, you'll get a chance to rate your trading partner. It's one of the core components of trading on Wagglepop.
Feedback has value. 
As members begin to build a Feedback Score and Transaction History, the resulting numbers become a sort of currency on Wagglepop. Good feedback is valued. Buyers and sellers alike appreciate good feedback, and likewise appreciate members who understand their responsibility to the community. Nothing reflects that commitment to the community better than a good Feedback Score, with a good Transaction History. Additionally, Wagglepop has an innovative system that allows potential buyers to sort search results by the actual Feedback Score, adding even more value to the overall feedback system.

How does feedback work?

After every transaction on Wagglepop, both the buyer and seller will have an opportunity to leave feedback for their trading partner. The feedback left for another member reflects not only your trading partner, but you as well.

There are two main components of feedback:

Feedback Rating  
There are three different ratings that can be given to your trading partner:

Positive
Neutral
Negative

Consider each rating carefully before submitting. Except in extreme cases, feedback cannot be removed. Make sure you are leaving feedback for the right member, and that the rating you are giving is fair and measured. If there is an issue that might cause you to issue a rating that is less than Positive, contact your trading partner before leaving to see if they can solve whatever issue you are having prior to issuing feedback. You'll likely find an amicable resolution, and avoid having to leave a less than Positive rating.

Feedback Comment
The second component of feedback is leaving a feedback comment.

Feedback comments are simply notes or addendums to your feedback rating, with specifics about the transaction in terms of your satisfaction level. Comments should speak only to the transaction, and never be personal in nature. The comment you leave says almost as much about you as it does your trading partner, so consider your comment carefully before submitting.

Understanding the Feedback Score and the Transaction History

As feedback is left for members, the ratings and comments have a cumulative effect. Two different methods are used to judge these accumulations of ratings and comments:

Feedback Score  
Every Wagglepop member has a Feedback Score. The Feedback Score is determined by adding up all of your Positive feedback ratings.

On Wagglepop, all ratings are recorded and count towards your overall Feedback Score, including multiple purchases from the same buyer.

Displayed along with your Feedback Score will be a Feedback Icon. A Feedback Icon is just a quick visual measure of your Feedback Score, and along with your actual score helps other members to get a feel for your reputation and dedication to the community. Transaction History
Perhaps even more important than a good Feedback Score is a good Transaction History.

Transaction History is calculated and displayed as the percentage of positive transactions for all your feedback ratings.

For example, if you have 234 Positive ratings, 3 Neutral ratings, and 1 Negative rating, you will have a Transaction History of 99.6% Positive displayed below your Feedback Score in all listing views. Please note that Neutral ratings do not count for or against your overall percentage positive calculation.

Feedback Withdrawal and Removal

Feedback that meets any of the circumstances below is feedback abuse and may be subject to removal:

  • Wagglepop is provided with a valid court order finding that the disputed feedback is slanderous, libelous, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
     
  • The feedback comment contains profane, vulgar, obscene or racist language or adult material.
     
  • The feedback comment contains personal identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or email address.
     
  • The feedback makes any reference to a Wagglepop or law enforcement organization investigation.
     
  • The feedback comment contains links or scripts.
     
  • Negative feedback intended for another member will be considered for removal only in situations where the member responsible for the mistaken posting has already placed the same feedback for the correct member.
     
  • Feedback left by a member who provided Wagglepop with false contact information (as verified by Wagglepop) and cannot be contacted.
     
  • Feedback left by a member who bid on or purchased an item solely to have the opportunity to leave negative feedback for the seller, with no intention of completing the transaction.

Wagglepop will remove feedback as warranted under the above conditions, if notified.
